About us
About The Dog House Games
The Dog House Games is an independent website about one slot series: Pragmatic Play's Dog House games. We play every game ourselves, check every number against the game's own rules and say clearly when sources disagree.
Who we are
We're a small editorial team that writes about casino games. We aren't owned by, or affiliated with, Pragmatic Play or any casino or game studio. We don't offer gambling and we don't take bets.
How we test
On we played all nine Dog House games in Pragmatic Play's official free demos, at a $2.00 bet with virtual credits:
- We read every rules page. RTP, volatility, max win, bet limits, paytables and feature rules on this site come from the rules screens inside each game. We kept screenshots of every page.
- We played a bonus round in every game. In The Dog House and Dice Show we used autoplay until free spins triggered. In the other seven we bought the round, and in the Megaways we bought twice to see both modes.
- We took every screenshot ourselves, on desktop and in a phone-sized browser window. The symbol icons are cut from the games' paytables.
- We cross-checked with Pragmatic Play's game pages, a large real-money casino's game pages and trade-press launch announcements, which we also used for release dates.
- We flag disagreements. When the demo, the casino and the studio's website show different figures, we show all of them and explain which we trust: always the in-game rules.
Where our release dates come from
Pragmatic Play doesn't publish release dates in its games. We use the dates in its launch announcements, as reported by the trade press: The Dog House (May 2019), Megaways (August 2020), Multihold (February 2023), Dog or Alive (28 March 2024), Muttley Crew (3 October 2024), Royal Hunt (31 March 2025), The Big Dog House (21 May 2026) and Megaways 1000 (13 July 2026). For Dice Show, which has no launch announcement we could find, we use the January 2023 date listed by slot databases.
How we score
Each review ends with an overall score out of 10, based on five ratings. Most reviews rate gameplay, features, RTP and maths, win potential and looks; some swap one of these for ease of play or originality where that matters most. The overall score is our judgement, informed by those ratings, not a strict average.
How we make money
Some links to casinos are affiliate links, marked with rel="sponsored" in our code. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission. It doesn't affect our scores, and we'd write the same review either way.
Corrections
Games get updated, and casinos change RTP versions. If you find a figure that no longer matches the game, tell us and we'll check it against the rules and update the page, including its date.
