Buys and special bets
Dog House Bonus Buys Explained
Seven of the nine Dog House games let you buy free spins, and the newest add ante bets and super spins too. Here's every option, what it costs, what the rules say it returns, and what happened when we spent 3,700x the bet on eight demo buys.
Every bonus buy in the series

Special bets
Ante bets and super spins
The two 2026 games add bet multipliers that change how every spin plays. Costs are per spin, in multiples of your normal bet.
| Game | Option | Cost per spin | Effect | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Big Dog House | Ante 1 | 2x | Biggie free spins 24 times more likely | 96.51% |
| Ante 2 | 2x | Ghost Out free spins 24 times more likely | 96.55% | |
| Ante 3 | 4x | Any free spins 6 times more likely | 96.53% | |
| Ante 4 | 6x | Biggie Ghost Out free spins 170 times more likely | 96.54% | |
| Super spin 1 | 5x | At least 1 expanded wild every spin; no free spins | 96.55% | |
| Super spin 2 | 50x | At least 1 wild of any size every spin; no free spins | 96.54% | |
| Super spin 3 | 100x | 50% chance of a colossal wild every spin; no free spins | 96.47% | |
| Super spin 4 | 200x | A colossal wild every spin; no free spins | 96.54% | |
| Megaways 1000 | Ante bet | 3x | All free spins rounds 10 times more likely | 96.50% |
| Super spin 1 | 20x | At least 2 wilds every spin; no free spins | 96.50% | |
| Super spin 2 | 500x | At least 3 wilds every spin, one of 25x or more; no free spins | 96.50% |
The rules write these as "bet multipliers" against 20x for normal play. We've converted them to multiples of your normal bet: Super spin 4's "4000x" is 200 times what a normal spin costs.

What our eight demo buys paid
We bought free spins eight times across seven games in Pragmatic Play's demo, at a $2.00 bet with virtual credits. Here's every result:
| Game and buy | Cost | Round paid | Returned |
|---|---|---|---|
| Megaways, Sticky Wilds | 100x | 42.6x | 43% |
| Megaways, Raining Wilds | 100x | 5.2x | 5% |
| Multihold | 100x | 43.3x | 43% |
| Dog or Alive | 100x | 74.1x | 74% |
| Muttley Crew, 10 spins | 100x | 16.5x | 17% |
| Royal Hunt, Royal spins | 500x | 13.3x | 3% |
| The Big Dog House, Biggie | 200x | 61.2x | 31% |
| Megaways 1000, Super 2 | 2,500x | 417.3x | 17% |
Total: 3,700x spent, 673x back, 18% returned. Not one buy paid for itself. That isn't proof the buys are bad, since eight rounds are far too few to measure a 96.5% RTP, but it's a fair picture of what a short session of buying looks like: most rounds lose, and the rare big one carries the average.
Plan your budget
Bonus buy cost calculator
Pick a buy, set your bet and the number of buys, and see the total cost alongside what the RTP says you'd get back on average over a very long run. In a single session, the real result can be anywhere from almost nothing to many times the cost.
Because every option in the series sits close to 96.5%, the calculator uses that figure for all of them.
Our advice
Should you buy the bonus?
- Buys save time, not money. The rules give buys almost exactly the same RTP as normal play. You're paying upfront for a round you'd otherwise wait a few hundred spins for.
- Size the buy to your budget. A 100x buy at $1 is $100. If that's more than a tenth of your session budget, lower the bet or play normally.
- Premium buys are for big budgets. 500x and 2,500x options can return a few percent of their price, as our Royal Hunt round did.
- Try them in the demo first. Every buy and special bet works with demo credits. See how a game's bonus feels before you pay for one. Our demo guide explains how.
