Pick Megaways 1000 if you're chasing the biggest number in the series. Its wilds carry anything from 1x to 1,000x and still multiply each other, the cap is 25,000x, and buys go up to 2,500x. It's also the game most likely to empty a budget quickly.
Both run on the same six reels, the same paytable and the same "choose your free spins" idea.

From 3x wilds to 1,000x wilds
In both games the wild lands on reels 2 to 5 and multiplies with the other wilds in the same win. In Megaways each one is 2x or 3x, so even four in a row stop at 81x.
In Megaways 1000 every wild draws a multiplier from a ladder of eight: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 100x or 1,000x. Most of the time it's one of the small ones, which is why the game can feel flat for long stretches. When a 25x or 100x lands next to another wild, though, a single way can pay hundreds of times its normal value.

One detail is easy to miss: the random mode in Megaways gives you about twice as many spins as the sticky one, but in Megaways 1000 both modes give the same number. The 2,500x Super Free Spins 2 buy then guarantees a wild of at least 25x, on the first spin in sticky mode or on every spin in random mode.
